We suspect that a lot of you might not know much about Michael and David Phillips, so let us tell you. They are 5th generation vintners and wine makers, and they know what they are doing. Boy do they know what they are doing:
In just 2008 and so far in 2009, they have won:
TWO DOUBLE GOLD MEDALS
TWENTY EIGHT(COUNT ‘EM 28) GOLD MEDALS
SIX BEST OF CLASS OR BEST OF SHOW
Where did they win them? The S. F. Chronicle International Wine Competition, The Hilton Head International Wine Competition, The Pacific Rim International Wine Competition, The L.A. International Wine Competition, The Grand Harvest Awards, The Riverside International Wine Competition, The California State Fair, Finger Lakes International Wine Competition, Orange County Fair Wine Competition, Dallas Morning News Wine Competition, and Jerry D. Mead’s New World International Wine competition.
We are going to sample Zin and Cab and Syrah and Petite Sirah and, of course, Chardonnay
How could you pass up “7 Heavenly Chards”?
Even more, are you going to ignore a Zin called “Gluttony”? Or another called “Lust”? How can you pass on a Cab called “Rapture”? Answer: You can’t.
